Okay, today 9-12-09 received my power supply board from DM and installed it. Did not see any swollen caps on the old board as I was informed there would be. Okay, I had problem checked and found it to be the power supply board. The caps were overheated ( swelled up) creating my problem with powering up. Thanks, Bob

Okay, I tried what you suggested has a test. No checker board pattern on either test while going through the process. The question I have is when I performed the test 2 different days the TV powered up after each test, Picture was fine. On other instances when turning on the set I will get the check...

Problem with my samsung 56 inch. When I turn on the tv I have sound but the screen displays a black and white checkerboard pattern.
