Re: Solid green Timer and Solid green lamp LED

Did you follow the steps posted here: /viewtopic.php?f=10&t=92?

If so, besides the fan, do you hear any strange noise coming from inside the TV when you attempt to turn it ON?

Re: Solid green Timer and Solid green lamp LED

Hi sold7,

First a few questions:
What is your TV model?
Did you close the lamp door?
Did you reset your lamp timer?
Did you have sound before you replaced the lamp?

Re: Identification: Philips vs OSRAM Lamp

Hi DaveC. Actually the Philips Belgian factory has been closed since 2006, after that all the Philips bulbs are made in China. All the Philips lamps says "Philips", most probably what you have is a generic bulb, since all the OSRAM lamps says P-VIP on it. You can read this article: http://...

Re: Samsung with internal explosion, B&W, humming etc.

Hello everybody. After watching many hours of golf yesterday (Masters) on my Samsung HL-R5667W, my TV started making a very loud noise, like a "revving up" and then revving" down, or it would just be "revving". Also a bad vibration from the rear of TV set. The color is dist...

If the light engine you're buying has the colorwheel included and it says is the one for your model there's nothing to worry about.

Re: need dmd board

Hi mgreen200,

I always recommend discount-merchant for buying new parts, unfortunately they don't have the one you need right now. There's a chance they can get it soon since they receive parts weekly. You can check the website constantly for seeing if they have it available.

Actually the lamp timer is not a part, is a program. What happens when you try to reset your lamp timer with the steps detailed at: http://www.fixyourdlp.com/blog/2007/02/15/resetting-your-samsung-dlp-lamp-hour-meter-counter/ ?

Re: Mitsubishi WD-65733 help.

D-M means discount-merchant.com, they receive new parts once a week, so your ballast might be in-stock soon. Replacing it is not a big deal if you're handy, just a few screws and two connectors. You just need to be very careful of not to damage any other components while extracting the ballast from ...

Re: No voltage on new HLP4663W ballast

Are you doing this?

I think is the lamp timer because according to your manual all the lights blinking means lamp defective, but you've just changed it so it's most probably your lamp timer.

Do you hear just one click? It might be your ballast that can only reach the minimum voltage needed to turn the lamp ON for a few seconds and not enough to turn ON the screen.

Maybe is a problem with the fan that is in charge of cooling the lamp, your TV might has a Temperature sensor that turns the TV off in case of overheating. Check your fans for dust.

Have you tried to unplug the TV, wait a minute, plug it back and try turning it ON again?

In mitsubishi's TVs after replacing the lamp and turning the unit back ON there should had been a message asking you if you replaced the lamp? Press ENT(er) for Yes or CANCEL for No.

Do you have any LEDs blinking on the front pannel? When it's a fan issue the Timer and the Standby LEDs should be blinking according to your manual. Re: 2 New lamps and New Color Wheel

It sounds like your lamp is overheating. Vacuum all the vents in the back of the tv to remove dust and check what happens. Clean inside as well, if you have too much dust that would be the problem.

Re: No voltage on new HLP4663W ballast

Hi Joe.

It could be two different things:

1. You need to reset the lamp timer.
2. You're not closing the lamp door when you try to turn ON the TV.

If none of the above suggestions work... Is there any other symptom? any strange noise?

Re: Yellow Shades From the Bottom... Color Wheel?

I've never had that issue, but I know there is no colorwheel in LCD Projection TVs, the colorwheel is exclusive in DLP TVs. So you need to replace the Light engine, which has LCD chips instead of colorwheel.

Re: Mitsubishi WD-C657 shutdown after few seconds

Aloha Pablo 8-)

Did you clean the air filter of the lamp cartridge?

Your lamp enclosure has a mesh filter that needs to be cleaned up, if it has dust can cause your TV to shut down in a few seconds.

Hope this helps...

Hi Pablo. First of all a few questions in order to help you: Does the TV gives you any picture before shutting down? Have you ever replace the lamp? Re: How To Install A Sony XL-5100 Lamp.

I agree with stuart, replacing the lamp is easy, but I'd prefer buy at discount-merchant, the bulb alone is for 124.99 and is a Philips (In my opinion better than Osram).

Hi Juan.

The lamp only provide white light, this light is divided in the light engine in order to generate the different colors, so definitely the problem is not your lamp, it seems to be a light engine issue.
